Dr Abubakar Yahaya Ibrahim, Dean School of Education and Secretary Committee of Deans, started his early education in Saint Peter Primary School, Bida now called Musa Bello Primary School between 1969 – 1976 and attended and a Teacher Training College where he obtained Teachers’ Grade II Certificate. He proceeded to Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto where he obtained B.Sc (Ed) in Geography in 1987, MTech from FUT Minna in 2002 and Ph.D from UNN in 2017. He worked with Niger State Ministry of Education, Science and Technical Schools Board as a Teacher at JSS Salka via Kontagora (1989), Government Science College Kutigi – Teacher and Examination Officer (1989 – 1991), Government Girls Secondary School, Bida (1991 -1993).
In January, 1994, he joined the service of this College as Lecturer III. He held various positions from Ag HOD General Studies (GSE) Department (1997 – 1998, 2000-2002), Examination Officer, School of Education. He was the first Director Audio Visual Center (AVC) which has transformed to Educational Technology Centre (ETC) from (2002 – 2004), Member College Examination Malpractice Committee (2004 – 2005), Coordinator General Studies LVSP (CCE) (2006 – 2007). Chairman Loan/Credit Committee (SMPCS) of the College (2002 – 2006). He was a Director, General Studies in the Directorate of Pre-NCE and General Studies (2007 – 2010), Coordinator/Examination Officer General Studies Undergraduate Programmes Usmanu Danfodiyo, Sokoto and Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria – College of Education, Minna Campus from (2009 – 2011). HOD, General Studies from October, up to 2018 when he ascended to the position of the Dean School of Education.
